9/11, Haircut, and Published Article!

Image
As you can see from the title, there's a lot going on in today's post. Before I get to the bulk of what this blog is about, I just want to take a moment of time to not only remember the day but also to recollect the lives taken as we encounter the 11th anniversary of 9/11. No description is needed, we all know of that sunny day turned into smoke and death. And, thus, as Americans we can only hope that it'll never happen again. Now onto the recent happenings in Sierra's life. As you know, I've started my last year of high school! What you may not know though, is that I finally got my license. Unfortunately, I don't drive as much as I should  be able to thanks to my over protective father. Yay, not. But anyways, since it's my last year I wanted to do something different. That 'thing' was supposed to be cutting my hair into a bob. You know, an Eva Longoria posh bob. Well, I got it cut, but my hair wasn't long enough to become the bob that I env

OOTD & First Day of school recap!

Image
This OOTD really makes me proud of my personal style and eye for fashion. It consists of.... -A tribal color blocked chiffon wide neck shirt from Target -A light mustard tee from Old Navy -Levi's Demi curve jeans, cuffed to give off a boyfriend jean look -Van look-a-like shoes by Rocket Dog from Famous Footwear -Hot pink feather earring with glitter on the tips from F21 -A purple and black rock necklace from New York & company -A long owl necklace I got from a friend -An ankle bracelet The key to this outfit was bringing together colors in different outfit pieces and thinking a bit out the box (for instance, two necklaces). But anyway, I wore this today for the 2nd day of school. SECOND day of school, you ask? Yes, and the first was great. I'm finally a senior!! Omg and does it feel great!!! I got to leave for lunch, I have a locker in senior hallway, and I get to rule the school! Although I have some challenging classes (Uhm, AP Calc for instance) I know that

OOTD & Link Crew

Image
Heyyyyy! Have any of you heard of Link Crew? If you're in high school, you might have. Basically, it's a bunch of upperclassmen who come together in order to make sure that the transition from middle school to high school for incoming is as smooth and easy as it can be. C'mon, you remember your freshman year of high school: Awkward, awkward, awkward! Link crew is here to change that! No one wants to feel like the black sheep of the school. So anyway, I'm in link crew, and today was freshman orientation. All link leaders wore yellow link shirts and directed tours and took about 7 freshmen under their wing. Every link leader has the same shirt, so I decided to mix mine up a little and bring my DIY skills to the forefront. I fringed and beaded my shirt. I also paired this with slight flare AE jeans, strappy sandals, and a headband. Hope you like it. I got tons of compliments!! :)
