LIFE!

Hello all! I was trying to hold off on blogging until I got some time on a computer/laptop, but I've resorted to the blogger app on my phone. You may have heard me complaining and saying that it sucks, well it does!

Anyway!

What's been UP? Anything significant? Well, I've got lots going on. Shall we:

Last week was homecoming week. It was fun and I really enjoyed myself. This is the only year that I've worm braids instead of my real hair (dreaded hair cut), but I still loved my look.

I used to have Newspaper/Yearbook as a class. And boy was I excited to get a taste of journalism! But alas, turns out the class was a blow off class that no one ever did any type of work in, not to mention the teacher showed a LOT of favoritism. SO, I dropped the class, and boy am I happy I did! Now I get to write/record for the town's newspaper!! I was even on the front page!

I am doing GREAT in AP Calc right now!! Very proud. But, AP Econ? Another story. I'll keep trying and praying...but just letting you know.

College Apps! The Northwestern application is due a month from YESTERDAY!!! It's time to get serious so that I can properly weigh up against the competition. Wish the best!

The first creative writing club is tomorrow!! I'm so excited, I've been putting a lot of work into it. I've heard that people are digging the idea, so hopefully this proves true!

Remember Why You Started

Monday started another week of shuffling through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Jopwell and other various job boards. Another week of sending my resumé out into a black hole and crossing my fingers that this would be the "one." Monday started another week of asking for grace so that I would no longer have to dread hearing that "so, what are your plans for after graduation?" question. Luckily, Monday didn't end the way it started. Bienvenidos a Argentina: Be Kind to Yourself

Today marks the end of 2017's first full week! I hope the year is off to a rejuvinating start for everyone. Oh, and today also marks the end of my first week in Buenos Aires, Argentina! For those of you who don't know, I'll be interning here until the end of March. As any journalist would, I definitely did my homework on Argentina before getting here. The food, the music, the culture at large - and how I would fit in with it. As with any place, there's a variety of experiences people had. Here are some of mine, as well as thoughts and some photos I took along the way. Being in Argentina has already showed me the beauty in slowing down. In the U.S., and ESPECIALLY at universities like Northwestern, it is extremely normalized to stay busy and moving at 300000 mph. If we're idle, we're being inefficient.
