The Bridge to Bliss

Hi everyone! SO much has happened since the last blog post, so much that I have no clue where to begin! So, I'll go with what's most recent on my camera, an OOTD! After getting my hair dyed and cut ( YouTube video to come soooooooooon), I wanted to play around with different color and style combinations. What better way to bring in a new look? So, I took a stab at the "denim on denim" trend, after much inner-debate regarding if I could even pull it off. I paired cropped boyfriend jeans with a chambray button-up top, threw on my white Chuck Taylors, and hit the streets. Oh! Not before donning MAC's Ruby Woo, courtesy of my wonderful mom!   Hello everyone!  How are y'all! I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I would upload some photos from a beautiful day last Saturday. My friend Jesse and I grabbed a comforter and a Nikon & headed to the lawn of Deering, Northwestern's absolutely gorgeous library. Here's some of the photos from the sunny day in Evanston!  Hey y'all! So as I said in the last post, I recently got my hair braided. Chosen style? Box braids. I love them for their vintage aesthetic but also the neat uniformity that they add to my style. Here's a shout out to MY BRAIDER, SAWOO!! Sawoo finished my whole head in LESS THAN 4 hours, everyone!! I love her. Now, onto today's look. My sister is, like the rest of us Boones, very creative. In addition to wanting to be a fashion designer, she's also really really into photography. So, when she wanted to use her new Nikon camera to do some shooting, I swiftly signed up to be the subject! I'm supposed to be doing calculus homework as I type, so this will be brief. Today's outfit: -Oversized red and maroon sweater from American Eagle -Peter pan collar shirt under it from American eagle -Pearl necklace -Hard denim Levi's -Maroon UGG's That's it! The key to this outfit was the Peter Pan collar, it's really hot right now. Many people thought it was all one shirt! XOXO -S

Ciao!!! Como esta ud? Multilingual baby!! Anyway, great news today!! The first creative writing club? A SUCCESS!! After school, I went to the club meeting room with the teacher sponsor, and there were 4 kids there interested! I thought "Four...well not too bad considering we only advertised via poster boards and flyers." Then, four MORE people came in! I was excited, people wanted to JOIN my club! THEN, four MORE people came in!!! 12 people! The meeting went great, it's a nice group of people and we've already planned what we'll be doing for the next month! Then, when my mom brought pizza for us, they APPLAUDED us!! This was just an awesome first meeting overall. Today's outfit consists of... -White tee -Tan and red/orange zip up cardigan from Old Navy -Pencil skirt ( it's Sunday) -Minnetonka moccasin boots tan from American Eagle -Charm Bracelet -Pearl bracelet -Tan fringed purse from Target I'm in love with these boots. And yes, the braids are back! They might look black but they have strands of auburn that really stand out when I'm in sunlight! Have a great Sunday and an even better week!!
