OOTD: Ruby Ooh-La-La!

Hi everyone!

SO much has happened since the last blog post, so much that I have no clue where to begin! So, I'll go with what's most recent on my camera, an OOTD! After getting my hair dyed and cut (YouTube video to come soooooooooon), I wanted to play around with different color and style combinations. What better way to bring in a new look?

So, I took a stab at the "denim on denim" trend, after much inner-debate regarding if I could even pull it off. I paired cropped boyfriend jeans with a chambray button-up top, threw on my white Chuck Taylors, and hit the streets. Oh! Not before donning MAC's Ruby Woo, courtesy of my wonderful mom! To be honest, half of the reason this look came to fruition was because I needed an excuse to wear Ruby Woo...but details!

I love my lil' neighborhood. No one looked at me weird when I brought a camera and tripod outside to start taking photos of myself.

There really was nothing to this look. And yet, I love love love it. I look like I didn't pose for this photo and have my timer capture it.
I know many of y'all are wondering the "who, what, when, where & why' of this new hair, so I'm planning to churn out that vlog soon! Long story short: it was free and I absolutely love it.

Remember Why You Started

Monday started another week of shuffling through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Jopwell and other various job boards. Another week of sending my resumé out into a black hole and crossing my fingers that this would be the "one." Monday started another week of asking for grace so that I would no longer have to dread hearing that "so, what are your plans for after graduation?" question. Bienvenidos a Argentina: Be Kind to Yourself

Today marks the end of 2017's first full week! I hope the year is off to a rejuvinating start for everyone. Oh, and today also marks the end of my first week in Buenos Aires, Argentina! For those of you who don't know, I'll be interning here until the end of March. As any journalist would, I definitely did my homework on Argentina before getting here. The food, the music, the culture at large - and how I would fit in with it. As with any place, there's a variety of experiences people had. Here are some of mine, as well as thoughts and some photos I took along the way. Being in Argentina has already showed me the beauty in slowing down. In the U.S., and ESPECIALLY at universities like Northwestern, it is extremely normalized to stay busy and moving at 300000 mph. If we're idle, we're being inefficient.
