So Basically.....
  • Senegalese Twists are actually BRAIDS that turn into twists.
  • They're longer than your average braid/twists (can be booty long)
  • They're really durable, and can do many many many cute styles!
  • They are best with NATURAL hair. I'm not hating on permies, it's just the truth.
  • THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!

The thing is finding the right person to do them. I've seen many people with them, but not all have that "look" that I like. Call me weird, oh well.

Now, they have become a really big trend. Many people call them "Poetic Justice braids" because they favor the hair style Janet Jackson wore in the popular movie. However, they are NOT the same thing. Janet had Box Braids (coming soon) while this style is totally different. FYI.

But anyways, since I already get braids a lot, these won't be anything THAT new to me. Of course, I will be posting many many pictures when I get them.

Can be accesorized to look extra posh!

Monday started another week of shuffling through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Jopwell and other various job boards. Another week of sending my resumé out into a black hole and crossing my fingers that this would be the "one." Monday started another week of asking for grace so that I would no longer have to dread hearing that "so, what are your plans for after graduation?" question. Bienvenidos a Argentina: Be Kind to Yourself

Today marks the end of 2017's first full week! I hope the year is off to a rejuvinating start for everyone. Oh, and today also marks the end of my first week in Buenos Aires, Argentina! For those of you who don't know, I'll be interning here until the end of March. As any journalist would, I definitely did my homework on Argentina before getting here. The food, the music, the culture at large - and how I would fit in with it. As with any place, there's a variety of experiences people had. Here are some of mine, as well as thoughts and some photos I took along the way. Being in Argentina has already showed me the beauty in slowing down.
