The Bridge to Bliss

Hey everyone! You may or may not know, but this summer (actually in like 13 days) I'll be interning with CRWN Magazine and changing the dialogue around going natural & natural hair in America and worldwide! If you know me, you know my experiences with my natural hair (#Solace) have really crafted how I navigate the world as a Black woman. I have written about Black hair for a while and to be a part of the formative growth for CRWN is huge for me! Anywho, that means I'll be working in NEW YORK CITY! And I don't know about you all; but when I think of the NYC, I think of phenomenal fashion ! So, I've got to get in line and show some true style this summer without busting my (very, very frugal) budget. What's up, all! So I'm not sure if everyone knows, but I have an internship for the Summer! Out of about 100 applicants, I have been chosen as 1 of 4 editorial interns for CRWN Magazine! What is CRWN? A new print magazine with digital platforms that seeks to create a progressive dialogue around what it really means to “go natural” in America. Its print edition will be launching soon, and as one of the pioneering interns, you can bet you'll see some of my work in it! So, if you're interested, go and pre-order a copy HERE !   Hello everyone!  How are y'all! I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I would upload some photos from a beautiful day last Saturday. My friend Jesse and I grabbed a comforter and a Nikon & headed to the lawn of Deering, Northwestern's absolutely gorgeous library. Here's some of the photos from the sunny day in Evanston!
